BMW invited professional drifter Elias Hountondji to slide a 1,100-horsepower M2 through its Munich production plant.

The stunt video shows the Red Bull Driftbrothers team weaving past machinery, forklifts, and assembly lines in what looks like a health and safety nightmare. But it’s all real, and it’s spectacular.

The M2 Drift Competition is built from a G82 chassis at the 229performance workshop.

Under the hood sits a heavily modified S58 twin-turbo straight-six making over 1,100 horsepower and 922 pound-feet of torque.

That’s more than double the 473 horsepower from a stock M2.

Reinforced engine components, upgraded cooling, and bespoke suspension make it ready for top-tier competition.

The exterior wears a full carbon-fiber body kit with wide aero and aggressive cooling ducts.

The stunt starts at the main gate with Hountondji driving an incomplete M2 missing its hood and front panels.

He drifts straight through the factory doors. What follows is precision driving mixed with clever editing as the car gets rebuilt on the move.

It picks up its hood, doors, trunk lid, and spoiler while continuing to slide across various factory floors.

The route spans multiple levels connected by an elevator. Different surface types create unique grip challenges.

Hountondji described it as one of the most complex stunts he’s ever done.

Planning a drift route through active production lines demanded millimeter-level precision. A single mistake could have caused millions in damage and halted production completely.

The choreography extends beyond the driving.

The drone pilot deserves serious credit for smoothly navigating through the cockpit of a moving car that’s traveling sideways. That level of coordination is top-tier.

Hountondji debuts the car in the 2026 Drift Masters European Championship.

Fans can see it earlier when it goes on display at BMW Welt in Munich from October 23 to November 5.

The video runs under two minutes but packs serious entertainment value.

It’s a derivative of Hoonigan’s Gymkhana videos but the tight factory course and active production environment make it stand apart.

BMW M CEO Markus Flasch said he’s deeply impressed with what Red Bull Driftbrothers managed to coax out of their vehicles.

The result shows how good a basis the M4 Competition provides for motorsport use.

The entire shoot was conducted under controlled conditions by professionals.

This collaboration between a drift team, video crew, and BMW demonstrates both engineering confidence and creative freedom.

It’s a marketing statement wrapped in sideways tire smoke through one of the world’s most advanced automotive production facilities.
