Porsche is preparing to pull the covers off a new 911 on the eve of the Munich Motor Show, and all signs point to the facelifted 911 Turbo.

The Stuttgart carmaker released a teaser image showing a coupe draped in fabric with a pronounced rear wing, alongside a line that promised another legend “faster than schnell.”

The reveal is scheduled for September 7, and while Porsche is keeping the official details under wraps, the expectation is clear.

This will be the next evolution of the 911 Turbo and Turbo S, and for the first time, it is expected to feature a hybrid powertrain.

Spy shots of lightly camouflaged prototypes have already given away much of the exterior update. The new Turbo will receive a reshaped front bumper with vertical fins in the intakes, updated headlights, a redesigned rear bumper, and revised exhaust tips. Inside, the upgrades are equally important.

A 12.6 inch fully digital instrument cluster is set to replace the existing unit, paired with an updated 10.9 inch infotainment display. Porsche is also expected to add a new start button and other detail changes to sharpen the cabin experience.

The biggest talking point is the hybrid system.

The current 911 Turbo uses a twin turbo 3.7 litre six cylinder that produces 572 horsepower in standard form and 640 horsepower in the Turbo S. With hybrid assistance, outputs are expected to climb significantly.

Drawing inspiration from the recently revealed 911 GTS hybrid, which pairs a 3.6 litre boxer with an integrated motor for a total of 532 horsepower, the Turbo could reach figures between 630 and 700 horsepower.

That would place the new Turbo firmly in supercar territory while maintaining the everyday usability that has defined the model since its debut in the 1970s. For buyers, it represents both a continuation of tradition and a bold step into Porsche’s electrified future.

The Munich Motor Show will provide the full reveal, but the message is already clear. The 911 Turbo remains the flagship of everyday performance, and with hybrid technology it is about to become faster, more efficient, and more advanced than ever.
