Max Verstappen’s personal Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport is hitting the auction block, giving wealthy track day enthusiasts a chance to own the four-time F1 champion’s weekend weapon. The car features Verstappen’s signature and has just under 1,400 miles on the odometer.
This isn’t just any GT2 RS Clubsport. It’s one of only 200 built, making 700 horsepower from a twin-turbo flat-six connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. At just over 3,000 pounds, Porsche described the car as the most powerful GT customer sports car the company had ever built, and it was not street-legal when it debuted at the 2018 LA Motor Show.
Verstappen bought the car new in August 2019. He and his father, Jos Verstappen, also a former F1 driver, thrashed it around Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in January 2020 during filming for the Dutch miniseries Max Verstappen: Whatever It Takes. The session left its mark with Max signing the hood, engine bay, and dashboard.
The car shipped from Belgium to the US in 2022 and has barely turned a wheel since. RM Sotheby’s is handling the sale with estimates reaching $650,000 for a car bought for under $500,000, meaning someone could pay a sizable premium for Verstappen’s ownership history and autographs.
The GT2 RS Clubsport represents Porsche’s approach to turnkey track domination, designed for 911 superfans with deep pockets who want race car performance without the complexity. Extra wheels, tires, and care from Dutch racing outfit GP Elite sweeten the package.
The timing makes sense for Verstappen, who’s probably moved on to even more exotic machinery as his F1 career peaks. For the buyer, it’s a chance to own a piece of motorsport royalty that actually got used properly rather than sitting in a climate controlled garage.
