Ford just dropped the 2026 F-150 Lightning STX, a customer-driven response to owners wanting more grunt and capability from their electric trucks. The new model kills off the XLT variant and packs serious off-road hardware straight from the factory.
The STX arrives with dual motors, extended range battery, and a targeted 290 miles of EPA range. That setup delivers 536 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque, giving owners instant acceleration and serious towing strength for $95,000.
Ford listened to Lightning owners who wanted factory ruggedness instead of aftermarket solutions. The result borrows heavily from the combustion F-150 Tremor lineup, including off-road running boards, all-terrain tires on unique wheels, and a standard rear e-locking differential for serious traction.
The STX stands out visually with a fresh grille sporting grabber blue accents, plus STX-specific graphics on the bed and hood. Inside, cloth seats get “STX” embroidered in matching blue, and a heated steering wheel comes standard. Ford even offers optional black vinyl flooring for customers expecting messy work.
Ford uses the same playbook that created the tech-focused Lightning Flash model in 2024. Ford’s strategy of actually listening to truck owners continues paying dividends, especially when the Lightning already claims the title of America’s best-selling electric truck.
The STX joins a refreshed 2026 Lightning lineup that adds Argon Blue, Marsh Gray, and Ruby Red Metallic paint options. Ford expects the STX to become one of the top-selling trims when it hits dealers in early 2026.
