Shaquille O’Neal has never been one to squeeze himself into the everyday. At 7ft 1in, even luxury cars start to feel like go-karts.

So it was only a matter of time before someone stretched a supercar to fit him.

Enter Effortless Motors in California, who delivered what’s being called the “biggest Corvette ever” a Z06 pulled apart and extended by a full 20 inches to accommodate the NBA legend.

The result is both absurd and brilliant.

Beyond the extra chassis length, the car wears Shaq-specific touches: floormats stitched with his dunking silhouette and Superman wheel hub covers nodding to the tattoo he’s carried for decades.

Even with the tweaks, he’s still forced to drive roof-off. But in California, that hardly counts as a compromise.

Not everything went smoothly. The build was delayed five months, and the newly lengthened doors managed to crack both windows before delivery.

Engineering quirks aside, Shaq doesn’t seem bothered.

The delivery video shows him being more excited to greet the family trailering the car than the Corvette itself, before joking he’s “the first big dude in a Z06.”

In a wholesome moment, he even asked a kid in a Kobe Bryant shirt to help him out of the car. He didn’t need the help, but he made the kid’s day.

Yes, stretching a Z06 ruins its balance. Yes, Corvette purists will call it a crime.

But Shaq has never played by purist rules.

He’s had Lucid Airs chopped into coupes. He’s had Cybertrucks widebodied in carbon. Now, he’s got a Corvette to call his own built for his scale and his sense of humour.
